Cambridge CELTA
Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is the world's most honoured entry-level credential for teaching ESL or EFL (TESL / TEFL). It is accepted throughout the world by organizations which employ English language teachers. Over 900 courses are offered at more than 230 centres worldwide and produce over 11,500 successful graduates each year.
Our CELTA centre is now operated by the English Canada World Organization (EC), a sister institution of the International Language Institute (ILI), which has been offering CELTA training for over 20 years. Both organizations operate at the same premises. The first approved Cambridge ESOL centre in North America, ILI / EC has been offering the internationally recognized CELTA program every year since 1985 and has the most cost-effective CELTA training in Canada and the United States. Each year we welcome candidates from all over the world. Applicants have ranged in age from 20 to 70 and come from a variety of backgrounds: retired teachers and other retired professionals, recent university graduates, individuals hoping to teach and travel overseas, those looking for a career change or hoping to teach ESL in their local community, or teachers hoping to add new skills to their repertoire.
